Who We Are

Global Mission Partners (GMP) is a 501-(c)-3 Oklahoma not-for-profit corporation which provides opportunities for short-term medical missions and global missions opportunities, as well as evangelism and construction missions, to serve persons who have little or no access to health care and adequate housing. Since February 1999, GMP medical mission teams have partnered with other global mission organizations to lead hundreds of volunteers internationally to provide medical, surgical and dental services and health education for over 20,000 patients. GMP has performed over 400 surgeries and celebrated over 3,500 first time commitments of faith. Teams have served in Nepal, India, Ecuador, Kenya , México, Haiti and Russia. Donations of medicines and supplies have exceeded $1.75 Million dollars.

The medical missions and global missions not only change the lives of the patients, but also impact the lives of those who serve. Medical missions need the participation of physicians, dentists, surgeons, nurses, therapists, general helpers, pastors, university or medical students and resident physicians. Early application is very important as global missions projects require significant advanced planning.

GMP was founded and is led by Dr. Bryan L. Frank, an Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine/Medical Acupuncture specialist. Dr. Frank has directed or participated in approximately 80 medical missions and global missions to redeveloping areas in the US and abroad during the last 25 years. Internationally, he has served in Nepal, India, Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Russia, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Beyond the medical missions, GMP has led and supported home-building global missions in Mexico and provided scholarships, registrations, and other support for students and adults. These projects are coordinated with Proyecto Abrigo, well-established home-building ministry that has provided thousands of homes to poor families living on the border in the Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez, and Cancún regions. This work has been accomplished through over 20,000 participants from all across North America.

In his "regular" professional life, Dr. Frank is an Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine physician who specializes in the integration of Medical Acupuncture into conventional biomedicine and is a widely recognized teacher at national and international medical acupuncture and pain medicine symposia, including Japan, China, Austria, France, Germany, England, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Brazil, México and Canada. He has served as President (1999-2001) of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMA) and as President (2004-2006) of the International Council of Medical Acupuncture and Related Techniques (ICMART). He has been a Senior Instructor for the UCLA Medical School's Medical Acupuncture for Physicians Program for eight years and has taught for the University of Miami School of Medicine Medical Acupuncture Program and McMaster University School of Medicine in Hamilton, Ontario, and at the Harvard Medical School Acupuncture program. He has extensive experience in Wilderness and Travel Medicine, which serves well in the International Medical Mission Field, and has authored or co-authored numerous medical articles, chapters, texts, and atlases.

Dr. Frank is an ordained Pastor with Citychurch and MetroChurch in Oklahoma City and Edmond, OK, respectively. He leads the Global Missions Ministries and the Healing House Ministries and is highly regarded for both his teaching and ministry activities. All missions encompass evangelism as well as service. All services are offered regardless of faith commitment or beliefs. Volunteers have served with Dr. Frank from many faith backgrounds. GMP is proud to have Mesá Taveras as Caribbean and Latin America Director beginning July 2008. After serving as a mission Project Director and National Director for another mission group for 23 years and has worked with Dr. Frank for the last 13 years. Mesá has led teams in mission as well as in the construction and management of hospitals in developing nations. He is an ordained pastor and his experience and passion to lead teams to share healthcare and the Gospel is a true blessing.

Global Healing Partners is the evangelical ministry part of GMP. Dr. Frank is available for teaching, preaching and workshops for leading people into their full inheritance as children of God, with salvation that is real and commanding today as well as to come. Healing of the body, emotions and spirit are God’s desire for all mankind and has been given to us through the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. He conquered suffering and death and rose victorious over Satan and calls His sons and daughters today to claim their gifts and to war against the enemy for their full birthright.
